It's kinda late or something, but finally I feel like writing something about someone with initial AS, who is now number one public enemy in my country.
Sunday morning, January 22, 2012 was a shocking night mare for Indonesian people, especially the ones who family members were victims of Tugu Tani Tragedy. That day, a black Xenia ran over 12 people, killed 9 of them. Some of them were just teenagers who just finished play futsal. Some of them were family members of a Bajaj driver. One of them was woman, 3 months pregnant. One of them was very young, 2.5 years old baby. A scene where his father still trying to feed him milk from bottle breaks people's heart. It breaks my heart.
People got sad. People got upset. People are angry. It was already 2 weeks ago but people are still talking about it.
People got mad when the driver jumped outta the car with dull face as if nothing happened. The worse thing is, she happened to be... like that... uhm, you know.... So then people started joking about her look. Some people are not sad anymore, but started to make fun of the tragedy. That's sad.
Now I think it's normal if some people got sad and angry. I don't wanna judge, but it's kinda hard not to judge. I mean, damn she was drunk and drive. It's wrong. I won't drunk for sure and I won't drunk and drive. Now I understand, who I am to judge, right? I might not better than her. But if I did something like that... damn, I won't hire a lawyer! I'd ask for the worst punishment.
But then again, I know that she actually feels guilty. Who won't?
I'm angry. But not only to her. I'm angry to all the people who drunk and drive. Yes, you don't kill people, yet! But you will someday. The only different between AS and other drunk driver is she killed people. Well, it's not only. But it's just the result. Drunk and drive without killing people is just as bad, seriously!
Now I agree that she's guilty as hell. But let's stop joking about this. Give sympathy to the ones who lost, and the ones losing. Learn the lesson: drunk and drive is bad!
Anyway, I actually don't understand how come she got so much attention. Traffic accidents happened all the time in the road. My bestfriend's boyfriend is a cop and he always found at least one or two dead body from cases of traffic accident in Central Jakarta. And it does happen everywhere in the road. Those crazy truck and bus drivers kill people all the time and they aren't even drunk. What the heck!? Oh I know! It's because they are poor people. People would always go easy on poor people. "Hey! They truck hit the pedestrian!" "Oh, it's okay. He (truck driver)'s just poor people."
Whatever. By the way, today was so fun. I spent my whole day at home. I wrote my plan of doing some couples of things, wrote some stories, did some research for my serial, then slept for hours because tonight I was supposed to play futsal, while tomorrow I got something to do in early morning, and I got so much to study before tomorrow.
